Monday, we will be having the Freedom Walkers assessment. This assessment is an opportunity for students to demonstrate understanding of the skills we have been practicing in class with this text. The assessment will focus on Chapter 7 of Freedom Walkers. Students are strongly encouraged to pre-read the chapter prior to the assessment. They may use the book during the test; there is nothing for students to memorize.

We also ask that when passing out valentines to remember to include all students in the class. Students will be given a class list, or it can be found here. We will not be decorating boxes or bags to collect valentines in class. Students are welcome to craft something at home, or can be given a plastic bag to collect valentines in class that day.
At the end of February, 5th Grade will have the annual Erin’s Law Presentations. These will be given by our wonderful social worker, Mrs. Judy Thompson.
